Queen of Soul: Aretha Franklin

Aretha L. Franklin
March 25, 1942

Hands down, she has paid her dues. Vocally amazing, great pianist, at a young age her range was ahead of it's time. My favorite ballad of Aretha's is "Angel", co-written by her late Sister Carolyn Franklin & Sonny Saunders.

I'm in my nostalgia mood today and I wanted to share this beautiful ballad with you. No matter what mood I'm in this is one my jams that with out a doubt makes me feel for 4:28 that I can sing :)

"Oh I lived too long without the love of someone
And there's no misery ooooooh oooh like the misery
I feel in me"

PS...Save The Arts

All across the United States ARTS are being taken out of Public Schools. Children need access to more then just sports everything outside of their academic programs. They need Health, Arts & Science as well.

PS22 in Staten Island is an example of why I'm an advocate of
"Save the Arts & Save the Music". The children of PS22 Chorus was formed in 2000 and they are truly blessed and I'm a HUGE fan of all 70 talented 5th Graders.
